At the same time, no one stood so above this genre: Udo Jürgens was successful in show business for almost 60 years, and his songs have long since become common property, which should be kept alive for the many young and old fans. Whether it's "Griechischer Wein," "Mit 66 Jahren," or "Ich war noch niemals in New York" – in any case, a real challenge for the ambitious tribute band SahneMixx.
But also a task that has become a vocation for Hubby Scherhag and his band. SahneMixx, the tribute band authorized by Udo Jürgens during his lifetime, creates the almost impossible with respect for the original and great musicality: the apparent return of a legendary Udo Jürgens concert to the big stage. From the ironic twitch of the eyebrows to the slightly cheeky vocal timbre to the characteristic bathrobe finale – every detail is perfect here! Just like Udo Jürgens, SahneMixx can be stylistically classified between Schlager, chanson, jazz, and pop music: oscillating between genres, but always at the highest musical level.

SahneMixx now looks back on an almost 15-year success story. Inspired by the magnificent music of Udo Jürgens, which has always had a unique characteristic in the German music landscape, as it is also related to chanson and jazz, the three musicians Hubby Scherhag, Achim Brochhausen, and Micky Koll founded their tribute band. From the very beginning, SahneMixx was concerned with respectfully engaging with the musical oeuvre of the great Austrian role model. For this reason, the authentic orchestra was exclusively staffed with the best professional musicians. It is therefore not surprising that SahneMixx was extremely successful from the start and was very well received by the public. Because SahneMixx took up what Udo Jürgens presented: musical entertainment with depth, lyrics that are still relevant after decades and always have an after-effect.
Udo Jürgens himself "ennobled" the performance of SahneMixx not only by seeking personal contact with "his" tribute band, but he also participated with letters and active interest in SahneMixx's development. For example, he congratulated them on winning the "Rock & Pop Prize 2005." As early as 2006, there was a first meeting between Udo Jürgens and the SahneMixx crew, which was to be followed by many more encounters, the last in November 2014.
