Arrive and cycle off
Algund is the
perfect holiday destination for outdoor lover. Because not only on foot, but also by bike, you can discover a lot here and thus do something good for your health and the environment. The best part is that in Algund our partners from
Bike and Hike are at your side with advice and action. Here you can get high-quality rental bikes and even take part in guided bike tours.
BIKE TRANSPORT ON TRAINSTaking bicycles on the trains of the Vinschger Bahn (Venosta Valley Railway) is currently only possible to a limited extent. Passenger transport has priority; bicycles can only be taken if sufficient space is available. We therefore recommend cycling routes where you can avoid the train, for example, a bike tour using the Aschbach cable car.
BIKE SHUTTLE TO RESCHENSEE LAKEFor the bike route to the Reschensee Lake, we recommend booking a bike shuttle. From May to October, these shuttles take you from Algund to Reschensee Lake or Mals.
- Taxi Iris: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, guests are transported by coach with a bicycle trailer to Reschensee Lake.
Reservations: +39 333 565 7464 or www.taxi-iris.com - Südtirolbike: In addition to Reschensee Lake, Südtirolbike takes you to nearly all popular cycling destinations in South Tyrol, including the Stelvio Pass, Ofen Pass, Sölden, and custom routes.
