Arrival by car

With your car to Algund

General information on travelling by car:
If you are travelling to South Tyrol from the north via the Brenner motorway, you will need a vignette for the section in Austria. To save time, you can also purchase the vignette digitally online at asfinag.at. To cross the Brenner Pass quickly, we recommend paying the toll online in advance via asfinag.at. This allows you to pass the toll station preferentially through specially marked barriers. The Italian motorways are subject to a charge. You can purchase a Telepass from the private provider Tolltickets and thus avoid waiting times at the toll stations. You can have the Telepass sent to you by post or collect it from a pick-up station.

Current information on the traffic situation: Traffic Information Centre of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano-Alto Adige Tel. +39 0471 200 198 or online

Bring your hydrogen or electric car to Algund:
South Tyrol has a good network of charging stations. If you are travelling by electric car, you can easily refuel your car at one of the charging stations. Guests travelling with a hydrogen car can refuel their car at the Bolzano hydrogen filling station after registering by telephone.
