Aschbach - Naturnser Alm
Aschbach, a fraction of Algund, is a small mountain village at 1,360 meters. It is located southwest of Algund and can be reached by cable car in only 7 minutes. In a circular hike you will discover the Naturnser Alm (mountain hut) and its surroundings at 2.000 m, located below the Mount Guardia Alta at the eastern foothills of the Ortles-Cevedale Group.
The Aschbach/Rio Lagundo cable car takes you from Rabland/Rablà to the mountain village of Aschbach/Rio Lagundo, the starting point of the hike. Follow trail no. 28 until trail no. 27 branches off to the right that leads to the Naturnser Alm mountain hut passing by Goldbrünndl and Siebenbrunn. At the mountain hut, go slightly uphill to reach trail no. 9A that takes you to trail no. 9 and then to trail no. 30 leading to Vigiljoch/Monte San Vigilio. Follow trail no. 28 shortly below the St. Vigilius church back to the mountain station of the Aschbach/Rio Lagundo cable car.

the street "Vinschgauer Staatsstraße" in the direction Naturns.
Next to the place Töll and shortly before Rabland, turn left and follow signs to Aschbach/cable car.
The cable car is directy next to the Vinschgau train railway station of Rabland.

For those who want to leave their car at home: the train of the Vinschgau railway stops directly at the valley station of the new mountain cable car and the well-known Vinschgau cycle path follows the river banks of the Etsch not far from there.
